Father God, I thank You and bless Your holy and righteous name. I thank You for Jesus the Christ, Your only begotten son who loved me so much that He gave His life. He died on that cross for me and because of His sacrifice, I will spend eternity with You. In this my heart rests.
Thank you for the seasons that come and go that were established when You said let there be. You set summertime, that is synchronized. It always follows spring and ushers in fall. All my senses rejoice in and enjoy this season.
Thank you for my eyes that see Summer. I see the green grass growing and the vibrant colors of orange and purple of the marigolds and dahlias. The explosion of yellow, pink and red zinnias is awe inspiring.
Thank You for my ears that hear Summer. I hear the splashing of pool water that the summer heat has warmed to perfection. The beating of the rain that has come to cool off the scorching temperatures is rhythmical. Gentle is the breeze of the wind through the trees that offer a coolness only nature can provide.
Thank you for my body that feels Summer. My feet walk through the dew laced morning grass as it energizes my body with the earth’s magnetism. My hands pick flowers, vegetables and fruit in their season. My entire body feels the heat of the sun and utilizes it to produce the needed vitamin D.
Thank you for my mouth that tastes Summer. My mouth tastes the seasonal fruits and vegetables unique to summer. The coolness of a perfect watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew satisfies the appetite. Strawberries, peaches, and nectarines gratifies the palate. The taste of a juicy red tomato bursting with flavor will please even the most discriminating.
Thank You for my nose that smells summer. My nose smells the fresh quick rain, the steak, chicken and ribs on the grill and honeysuckle growing wild in the fence. I reminisce of days of old.
Marvelous are Your manifestations, wondrous are Your ways, perfect are Your plans and grand are Your displays of greatness. Remind me to have sense enough to go with the flow of Your divine order and purpose. Because if You can do all this, You can take good care of me.
For this I am thankful, grateful, and truly amazed.
Always in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
