It is back to school time and I am sure some parents are doing the happy dance. With your dancing shoes on, pray with me as I offer this prayer for a safe, prosperous and successful school year.
Father God, I thank you and bless Your Holy Name. Thank You for Jesus Christ, our Savior, who died for the sins of the entire world. Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Him to die in our stead. Because He died and lives, we can expect to live without fear and bondage.
Thank You for our children who are gifts and rewards from the Lord. We have joy that they walk in truth.
I pray for their conversation. Their words spoken in the right circumstances are like apples of gold in settings of silver.
I pray their friends and acquaintances will be godly. He who walks with the wise will be wise.
I pray their focus is straight ahead, their ways established, and their feet kept away from evil.
I pray their character will be righteous and with favor You will surround them with a shield.
I pray they will be free from anxiety and Your consolation will bring them joy.
I pray fear will be far from them and they lie down and sleep soundly.
I pray for their memory. They do not forget God’s teachings, keep His commandments, and will find favor with God and man.
I pray their strength will be in the Lord and the power of His might. They are strong and very courageous knowing that the Lord is with them where ever they go.
I pray the blood of Jesus as a line of protection around them and angels to keep charge over them.
And finally, I pray for their minds, that they will sympathize with each other, be loving, kind, patient, humble, gentle and make allowances for the faults of others.
Always in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
