Look at that strawberry lemonade. Is your mouth watering?
We are approaching the season where cold lemonade will be served by the gallons. It is sweet but tart and refreshing on a hot day.
The Word of God says He blesses the work of your hands and makes your name great. If you have ever tasted my strawberry lemonade, you will know that my hands are blessed and my name great for it. Described as a liquid cupcake was the ultimate compliment.
No, it is not passed down from generations as a family secret or a recipe I got from a cookbook. It is a concoction I made one day under the guidance of Holy Spirit. You do know that He is a teacher and guide? If you do not, now is a good time to get to know Him.
Enough about my famous lemonade. Look for it one day in stores near you and remember you read about it here first.
The basic lemonade recipe consists of lemons, water and a sweetener. Lemons are sour in taste and not so pleasing standing alone. Squeeze them to extract the juice, add water and sweetener and a bitter fruit transforms into an enjoyable drink. Despite their sharpness, lemons have many benefits. Being a rich source of vitamin C, they are also antibacterial and antiviral. Among many of their attributes, lemons are used in remedies to treat colds, congestion and sore throat and utilized for whitening, stain and adhesive removal.
It has been said that when given lemons in life, make lemonade. Life is not always sweet. It has some sour or difficult times. But instead of focusing on the negative, focus on what you can do to make the sour sweet. Make the best of every situation.
Everyone has been given life's lemons. The enemy seeks to devour and wants you to fail at all costs. Trouble is unavoidable. You have experienced death of loved ones and dreams, failures, betrayal, sickness and lack. But the solution is to put your trust in the Savior. He makes it all work together for good because He has already overcome the world. God's eyes run throughout the earth to show Himself strong to those with a heart committed to Him.
Christ is richer than vitamin C. He annihilates the bacteria and viruses the adversary spews and extracts you from sticky situations. His blood removes the stain of sin, washes you whiter than snow and His stripes were for your healing. Sooner than later, the things that were squeezing you, the sour stuff that made you frown, are history. You have transformed the water of the Word mixed with the sweet Spirit of the Holy Ghost into a wonderful beverage.
Consider Sarah, Ruth, or Rahab, Bible sheros who took adversities of life and because of their faithfulness, God elevated them to the Faith Hall of Fame. Or consider me. I have had some bitter pills to swallow. My testimonies of difficulties, trials and unfavorable circumstances are many, but my Daddy, my Abba Father has always shown himself strong in my life. I not only conquer, I more than conquer. Because of my transformation, I do not just make lemonade, I make Always Delicious Strawberry Lemonade. Praise the Lord.
