Happy Valentine’s Day. Whatever the origin of the holiday, pagan or religious, it celebrates love and God is love. As believers, it is our duty to show the God kind of love to the world. And today I say, with transparency, I love you and God loves you more.
Transparent is the quality that allows light to pass through. It is see-through, it is clear. It is also obvious, easily discerned, and, unconcealed.
Since I have been writing these posts, I have also taken my own pictures. Yay for me. Not a trained photographer or having technology expertise, it is supernatural the way I have arrived at the pictures that evolve. For example, the picture above, I utilized the transparency tool. With it, the picture is changed from opaque, 100%, to completely clear, 0%. At 0%, the picture is there, but you just can not see it.
This picture is a combination of two, one of my Man of God and one of me. My Man of God is transparent, in the background, and I am in the foreground. Reflecting on our relationship, our lives together, we are like these pictures. Two lives, one in heaven, transparent. One in the foreground on the earth, opaque. Although he is in the background, all the love, care, and commitment that he showed while in the earth realm, I still remember. Love never fails, love does not die, love is for eternity. Two people in two different realms. I can not see him, but I know he is there. Transparent.
In our maturing, godly relationship, we became one in the union. As we grew spiritually, we loved God more and therefore learned to love and care for each other. We shared our thoughts and feelings and esteemed the other more. The other’s desires were considered above all. We saw each other, our hearts, our minds, our wills, our emotions, our souls. We became transparent…open and honest, no hidden agenda, everything in the open, unconditional…having a rhythm, a synergy, a flow, a knowing that we had each other’s back.
When we receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, our life with God begins with a commitment. We are born again. As we mature in the faith, our love for God increases. We transfer our trust to Him. Sharing our soul with Him, we commit to spending our lives in service to our Father by serving others. We lay our lives out before Him. We become transparent. When the cares of life become unsettling, through trusting Him, we know He is in the background, transparent. Whether He is at 75%, 50% or 0%, you may not see Him, but you know He is there.
With peace and joy, I continue to make this earthly journey, this 120-year assignment in my stilettos, without him, my Man of God. But I daily grow closer to Him, God, my Father. I am transparent, the world sees the Father through me. I have more and more confidence in His love and care for me. It is with this transparency that I can go boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace when I need it. And this same God who takes care of me will take loving care of you. Become transparent, value your relationships and allow the love of God to show through you.
