While on vacation, this picture was captured in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a charming town of vineyards, flowers, boutiques, inns, and cafes about 20 minutes outside Niagara Falls. The hanging flowers were so beautiful, I couldn’t pass the photo op. What I didn’t expect was that the flowers were shaped like angel wings. I knew I had a story that was just waiting for a picture and a time to post.
A few years ago, the oldest Grand spent several days with me when she was about 5 years old. I make lots of confessions for me and my family and during the morning I corrected her attitude and behavior several times with one. “We have kind, calm, gentle, peaceful, restful, cooperative spirits”.
I prepared breakfast for her and then lunch. At lunch, she asked why I wasn’t eating. It was my regular day of fasting to bring my body under subjection to the obedience of Christ. So, I explained this to her and that after my fast ended at 3 pm I would eat. She stared at me for a while and then asked me this profound question. “Are you an angel?” With a beaming smile, my response was no. She replied: “You act like one, you just don’t have wings.” This has to be one of the best compliments I have been given.
The Lord has been speaking about rest and vacation to prepare me for the mighty move He is about to release in my life. This has been years in the making and sometimes seeing the big picture can be overwhelming. Oftentimes He lets you see glimpses to usher you into the place and the plan.
No, I am not an angel, but I believe in angels. They are created beings of God sent to help and assist me.
The Bible attests to the presence of angels. If you pay attention, you will see that they are always here to minister and protect.
They are Always Present
Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 18:10 NKJV
They are Here to Minister to Us
But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:13-14 NKJV
They Respond to the Word of God
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.” Psalm 103:20-21 NKJV
They are Here to Protect Us
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11-12 NKJV
And if you didn’t know they are powerful, read 2 Kings 19. In one night, the angel of the Lord put to death 185,000 in the Assyrian camp, the enemy of King Hezekiah.
By the way, for your information, on the day of this picture, it is not a coincidence that I had lunch at the Olde Angel Inn Restaurant. God is creatively preparing me for my assignments and reminding and providing me the angel army to help.
So, when you are around me, don’t make no sudden moves, I got the angel armies of God at my disposal.
Employ your angels by believing they exist and are always present, speaking the Word, and expecting protection as they minister to you.
If you desire to have the ministry of angels in your life and have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, go here and follow the simple instructions for the best decision you will ever make.
